What is Therapeutic Coaching?

Therapeutic coaching blends the best bits of traditional talking therapy (aka counselling) with the action-focused energy of coaching. It supports your mental wellbeing and helps you move forward with purpose.

What can you expect?

  • The compassion and reflection of counselling and talking therapy

  • The motivation and solution-focus of coaching

  • Flexibility within a framework – you choose how to access support

  • Autonomy and empowerment – you are the expert of you (not me)

Who am I to offer this?

I’m Hannah – a trained coach (CMI) and counsellor (CPCAB). My approach blends both disciplines and flexes around your needs. Some moments call for structure and action; others just need space and stillness. I meet you where you are.

What happens in a session?

It’s relaxed, down-to-earth, and always led by you.

Together, we explore what’s going on beneath the surface – patterns, beliefs, and blockers – and gently unpick what might be holding you back. Then, we shift into practical steps to build clarity, confidence, and momentum.

Sessions might include:

  • Exploring your values and what matters most

  • Unpacking emotional roadblocks or inner critics

  • Setting boundaries or goals that actually work for you

  • Developing self-trust and building resilience

  • Celebrating wins and boosting self-confidence

Who is it for?

Therapeutic coaching could be a great fit if:

  • You’re dealing with change or transition

  • You’ve had therapy before and now want more structure (or more flexibility)

  • You’re navigating a new job, identity, lifestyle or city

  • You want support for both mental wellbeing and personal growth

Why it works for neurodivergent minds

If you're figuring out how your brain works best, adjusting after a diagnosis, or just want something that feels more you — this approach offers:

  • Flexibility with session time, frequency and location

  • A safe space for identity exploration and emotional regulation

  • Tools for building routines, navigating overwhelm, and feeling more understood

Coaching and mentoring are well-known supports for ADHD and autistic individuals. Therapeutic coaching takes that further — combining emotional support with strategies for life, work and wellbeing.

Supporting young adults through transitions

Big changes often bring big feelings. Whether you’re starting out, moving forward, or supporting someone who is, therapeutic coaching helps build:

  • Confidence

  • Independence

  • Calm clarity

All at a pace that feels manageable and safe.

Choose your way

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to healing or growth. Therapeutic coaching gives you space to breathe, reflect, reset — and take steps that feel true to you.
