Hi, I’m Hannah,
A Neurodivergent Therapist
I’m a counsellor and coach offering flexible therapy for ADHD, autistic, AuDHD and dyslexic adults and higher education students.
My approach blends counselling and coaching so sessions can adapt to what you need in the moment. Sometimes that means structured reflection and practical tools. Other times it’s simply space to talk things through with someone who’s listening properly.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about understanding what’s going on, making sense of your experiences, and finding ways forward that actually work for your brain and your life.
My Neurodivergent Perspective
My work is shaped by my own experience of understanding neurodivergence — both personally and professionally.
As a child I was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia, but I didn’t receive much support at school. It wasn’t until adulthood that I began to develop a clearer understanding of what those differences actually meant for me.
For a long time, being in my own brain just felt confusing. The intensity of emotions, the zig-zag thinking, the way curiosity and ideas could take me in a hundred different directions at once.
I genuinely thought something was wrong with me — that I was anxious, chaotic, or somehow broken.
Receiving an ADHD diagnosis later in life didn’t suddenly change everything, but it helped things make sense. It gave language to experiences that had always been there.
What it also brought was compassion — for my younger self, and for the many people I now work with who have spent years wondering why life sometimes feels harder than it should.
My Ethos - Choose Your Way
Over time I’ve come to see neurodivergence not as something that needs fixing, but as a different way of thinking, feeling and experiencing the world.
When people are given the right conditions — understanding, acceptance and space to explore — they often find their own way forward. That belief sits at the heart of how I work.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Life changes. Energy fluctuates. Needs shift. So the way we work together can adapt too.
Some sessions might be reflective and spacious. Others might focus on practical tools or problem-solving. Sometimes we slow things down; sometimes we explore new ideas or directions.
My ethos is built on autonomy and choice. I believe you already hold the answers — even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.
With the right support, you can uncover who you are, what matters to you, and build the confidence to choose your own way forward.
Connection Matters
One of the most powerful things I’ve seen — both in therapy and through ND BrainSpace — is what happens when neurodivergent people connect with others who genuinely understand.
The pressure to mask softens. Conversations become easier. Ideas bounce around the room. People share experiences, humour and strategies that only make sense when you’ve lived them.
That sense of connection can be transformative.
Because when people feel understood and accepted, they’re far more able to explore who they are and what they need.
Flexible Ways We Can Work Together
Support can take different forms depending on what works best for you.
Sessions might happen:
• in a therapy room
• online
• walking outdoors
• through text-based sessions
• or occasionally at home where appropriate
Because therapy shouldn’t require you to reshape yourself to fit the process.
The process should adapt to you.
